Henry Ford Community College has been making a lot of changes on their campus lately. One of the major projects they've undertaken this year is to renovate two floors of a building they now share with the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) to create a new Welcome Center for students and guests.
The Welcome Center, designed with a bright industrial aesthetic, has added significant space to the College's student services departments. The first floor of the facility features a concierge desk, security area, and multiple stations for students to work with staff on scheduling and financial issues. A large computer lab is available for teaching or individual use, and an additional computer lab will be used for group testing.
The second level is completely office space, with a large work room, multiple conference rooms, individual offices, expansive cubicle space, and a large kitchen with eating area.
